Here are some terms you may see used throughout this site, and how they're used here. Other people may have slightly different usages. Best policy is to ask.
'Bond - short for SoulBond, the "character"
'Bonder - short for SoulBonder, the physical person/host/body
'Bonding - short for SoulBonding
Canon (Source) - applies to outsourced 'Bonds, their TV show/movie/book/video game/etc. of origin
Co-Fronting - when a 'Bond and a 'Bonder share the 'Bonder's awareness, consciousness, and bodily actions
Fictives - another term for 'Bonds, but closer to an alternative to "character;" implies more respectfully that, while they may have their origins somewhere we consider fictional, they are every bit as real as we are
Fronting/Fronts - when a SoulBond acts and speaks using the 'Bonder's body, a sort of mutually initiated consensual possession; the 'Bond is "in front" of the 'Bonder
Headcanon - Information about an outsourced 'Bond that is not included in, or differs from, their canon source
Headspace - the 'Bonder's internal "meeting grounds" where they and their 'Bonds can interact. Can be as simple as a room or as elaborate as a whole other universe. Alternately: Soulscape, soulspace
HusBond - a SoulBond who is also a husband to the 'Bonder
Insourced - a 'Bond of internal origin, such as a "created character" in an original story, or a role-playing persona
Outsourced - a 'Bond of external origin, such as from a book, TV show, movie, or video game
SBing - an abbreviation for SoulBonding
Spirit Child(ren) - a child born to a 'Bond and a 'Bonder, exists in the 'Bonder's headspace. These types of 'Bonds are not outsourced, nor are they quite the same as an insourced 'Bonds
System - used to describe a 'Bonder and their 'Bonds (and any other headvoices) as a whole, as a singular unit, that may or may not have a self-ascribed name. My system is called Labyrinth
