We've mentioned that we have an inter-system polyamorous family structure in place. As a whole, we call ourselves "the Tribe." The people from Labyrinth that are included are Hex, Gabriel, and Bunneh. Here, we'd like to introduce the most important members of the other system, sometimes informally called Mirkwood.
Quetzal
Quetzalxochitl Zotz - The physical body of Mirkwood and Hex's fake!sister. Also goes by Hetshepsit, Sissy, Possum, and Sweetheart, depending on who's talking to/about her. Eclectic Mesoamerican Technopagan, aspiring healer and make-up artist. She's married to five 'Bonds, one of whom being Gabriel, and says she will not marry again. Also a Scorpio. She lives in Canada and we all wish we did too.
And here are the relevant SoulBonds, same format...
Dave
Dr. Dave Bowman, Ph.D. - 2001: A Space Odyssey (Kubrick film and book by Arthur C. Clarke) - Dave is Bunneh's Dom, but also Tops Quetzal and Murdock. He's Quetzal's third husband, and Bunneh's second. He and Murdock live together with Daniella (see below). He's a scientist to the core, which has been known to annoy all three of his "subordinates." Almost everyone is in love with his eyes.
Murdock
H.M. Murdock - "The A-Team" movie (2010) - Army Ranger (rank of Captain), pilot, "functioning lunatic." Just like his Twin. They've had several instances of "freaky twin shit," which confirms to both Hex and Quetzal that they really did split. Murdock seems to have gotten more of the sensory-input memories, while Bunneh got the emotional aspect. Murdock is Quetzal's fourth husband.
Dren
Dren Kroun-Smith (nee Kast) - Splice (movie) - Dren is a genetic splice of human DNA, and that of several other animals and plants as well. She's been with Quetzal for a very long time, so much so that Quetzal believed Dren was a facet of her personality, that "Drenning out" was her reaction to extreme stress. Dren is married to Gabriel (his fourth and final spouse), and is the baby sister to Hex and Quetzal. She isn't able to speak and has to communicate through typing or letter tiles. She managed to bring Hannibal Smith ("The A-Team" television series) to Mirkwood, and he is her second husband.
Garak
Elim Garak - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (television show) - Garak is Cardassian, a tailor by trade, and affectionately referred to as "Queen Fag." He is partners with Legolas and Gabriel. He is also the adoptive father of three of Quetzal's other Spirit Children, the twins Nadia and Sara, and Josephine, a.k.a. "J." He's told Gabriel to consider himself their third father as well. Garak and Gabriel have no plans to marry, but are as close as spouses would be. Garak compares Gabriel and Legolas to a yin-yang.
Daniella
Daniella Mary Bowman - Spirit Child - Daniella is the daughter of Quetzal and Dave. She was born Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011 at 6:21pm after about six hours of labor. She has three godparents (Prior Phillip, Mirkwood's William Hamleigh, and Auntie Dren), and three "other" fathers (Gabriel and the Murdock Twins). Like her mother and Auntie Hex, she already has several petnames. She is Quetzal's first planned baby, and the first to be born to the Tribe.
Ohana
Hex made this diagram to explain the web of relationships.
Key
Red - Primary Partners
Purple - Spouses
Yellow - Lovers/Partners
Blue - Siblings
Black - In-Laws
We see the rest of both systems as existing in rings around the the Tribe. And, the Tribe itself as a ring or a web around Hex and Quetzal. Quetzal has plans for a site much like this one with further details and designations. When it becomes available, we will link to it from here. Until then, you can read Hex's write up here.
In watching Disney's "Lilo and Stitch," Dren attached to the Hawaiian word "ohana," which, according to the movie, "means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten." This has become a central and very important concept to us as a Tribe.
